New Henschke Wines
Now Available At Great Prices

Last night we hosted a fabulous tasting with 40 lucky attendees sampling some of the best Henschke has to offer featuring icons like Mount Edelstone Shiraz and Cyril Henschke Cabernet plus some lesser known wines from the stable (but every bit as delicious as you'd expect).

We offered some really sharp pricing on the night, in most cases better than anyone else in Australia, and we thought we should share that love with the rest of our clients. Just because you couldn't make it to the tasting doesn't mean you should miss out, so see the below offer which expires on Monday morning. Don't miss this chance to pick up Henschke at great prices as it's not the sort of estate that gets discounted very often!

All wines are available now at our special offer prices for the next 4 days only. To place your order simply click on the links below or return the attached form, by email, by fax on 03 9419 6970 or callus on 03 9419 6990.

The first 5 customers to spend over $300 will receive a complementary copy of the beautiful 'Hill of Grace: 150 Years of Henschke Under Southern Skies' book valued at $59.95.

2018 Julius Riesling
Usually $44 - Special Offer $40

Svelte riesling of limey freshness and floral perfume. Opens with frangipani and mixed citrus peel scents, flavours tend to the leaner, dry spectrum of lime flavours, texture is squeaky and lightly chalky. Refreshing, bright, brisk. Good drinking.
Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - 93 Points

2018 Coralinga Sauvignon Blanc
Usually $27 - Special Offer $22

Juicy, medium in weight, round and creamy. Nutty, faintly floral and grassy, with a pleasing but restrained core of gooseberry flavour…and finishing with gentle acids.
Jeremy Oliver, jeremyoliver.com

2016 Innes Pinot Gris
Usually $37 - Special Offer $32

Pale straw with green gold hues. Intense aromas of nashi pear, honeysuckle and almond blossom florals with nuances of ginger spice and underlying notes of white nectarine. A focussed medium-bodied palate of stone-fruit is enveloped by elegant layers of baking spices, and beautifully balanced with fine acidity to create texture and a long, crisp finish.
Winery Notes, Henschke

2016 Croft Chardonnay
Usually $52 - Special Offer $48

Peachy fruit and lots of oak. Chardonnay 101 as we used to know it in Australia though there’s excellent volume to the fruit, the oak is nestled nicely in – while still making a sizeable contribution – and notes of custard apple and melon keep things hurtling along. Flint and oatmeal notes make minor, minor appearances; this is all about stone fruits and toasty oak.
Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front - 92 Points

2013 The Alan Reserve Pinot Noir
Usually $100 - Special Offer $90

Hand-picked from 20 Feb to 1 Mar from the Lenswood vineyard, open-fermented in wax-lined vats, matured for 15 months in used French barriques. A very powerful wine, plums joining red and black cherry fruits in a savoury overlay suggesting the incorporation of some whole bunches.
James Halliday, The Wine Companion - 96 Points

2015 Johann's Garden
Grenache Mataro Shiraz
Usually $56 - Special Offer $50

Jubey-sweet scents showing blackcurrants, raspberry, sniff of vanilla, suggestion of choc-liqourice and mint. Palate is really fresh feeling, sweetish too but cut with brisk acidity and a web of barely there, soft, but edge-giving tannins. Spreads nicely in the mouth, soft, and finishes long with lip-smacking fruitiness. Nicely done.
Mike Bennie, The Wine Front - 91 Points

2015 The Bootmaker Mataro
Usually $75 - Special Offer $69

The wine paying tribute to the wide skill set of the Silesian Lutheran settlement of the Barossa Valley. Mataro seldom makes a wine as supple as this, and I don’t think this can be ascribed to the 4% grenache inclusion. There's a special quality to the tannins that counter intuitively lifts the aura of the red fruits on the palate. The balance is such that a 20+ life is assured.
James Halliday, The Wine Companion - 95 Points

2013 Marbel Angel Cabernet Sauvignon
Usually $110 - Special Offer $99

100% cabernet sauvignon from 40+yo vines at Light Pass, matured in French hogsheads (41% new) for 18 months. Following in the footsteps of the superb '12, Marble Angel was never going to be easy, but this does better than most Barossa Valley cabernets. Its tannin structure is a feature, giving the wine length and (paradoxically) attractive mouthfeel, which is the heart of a very good cabernet.
James Halliday, The Wine Companion - 95 Points

2013 Cyril Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon
Usually $159 - Special Offer $140

83% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc, 5% merlot, matured in French hogsheads (42% new) for 18 months before blending. Cabernet from the Eden Valley has its own cool personality - and absolute authority. It is blackcurrant rather than cassis, with tannins that are firm but not dry, and an elusive touch of mint. The franc and merlot have helped the cabernet show a bit of love, the French oak likewise. All up, a wine of class and length.
James Halliday, The Wine Companion - 96 Points

2013 Hill of Roses Shiraz
Usually $445 - Special Offer $410

Measured and beautifully ripened, with a bright, slightly fiery and earthy bouquet of redcurrants, blood plums and cranberries lifted by tight-grained cedary oak and nuances of five spice. It’s long and gentle, with a vibrant, almost plump palate of faintly jammy blueberry, blackberry and cassis-like flavour that extends down a fine, gravelly spine towards a polished and stylish finish.
Jeremy Oliver, jeremyoliver.com - 95 Points

2015 Mount Edelstone Shiraz
Usually $239 - Special Offer $210

Profoundly floral, spicy and incredibly youthful, with a confiture-like bouquet of raspberries, strawberries, redcurrants and blueberries knit with cedar/vanilla oak and backed by a hint of coconut ice. Medium to fullish in weight, it’s remarkably long and elegant, with a vivacious expression of small berry flavours knit with dusty, cedary oak and a drying, faintly chalky spine. From a cooler season, there’s a suggestion of dried herbs and a balance that suggests genuine longevity.
Jeremy Oliver, jeremyoliver.com - 96 Points
