Special Offer - Domaine Robert Chevillon New Releases & Bindi Master Class with Michael Dhillon

    by Hugh French | Oct 31, 2018

Domaine Robert Chevillon Special Offer & Bindi Master Class with Michael Dhillon

"With such an enviable array or Premier Crus at his disposal, it is no wonder that this address produces some of the appellations most exceptional wines...in my opinion they represent great value".
    Neil Martin, Wine Advocate

The Chevillon family have been growing grapes and making wines in Nuits-St.-Georges for four generations. Despite only having 13 hectares of land they are one of the greatest holders of Premier Cru sites within the village. The wines have fantastic depth, persistent structure and incredible purity of fruit. Absolutely delicious as young wines they are still fantastically age-worthy if you have the patience.

Due to some challenges with yields in both the 2015 and 2016 vintages they have decided to release two vintages in one year, subsequently we have this treasure trove of great wines to offer you. Volumes are low of course so orders will be processed on a first come first served basis. Don't miss out on your chance to secure some of these gorgeous wines from Domaine Robert Chevillon. Our prices are very sharp on these and we also have a mixed six pack buy of the 2015s and '16s that offers even further savings.

All wines below are available now at our special offer prices for the next 7 days only.
Simply click the links below to place your order. You can also return the attached form, by email, by fax on 03 9419 6970 or callus on 03 9419 6990.

    2015 Vintage

    2015 Nuits-St.-Georges V.V.
    Usually $149 - Now $129

An elegant, pure and complex nose consists of notes of plum, earth and background hints of the sauvage. There is really lovely detail to the sleek, delicious and solidly complex and concentrated middle weight flavors that are shaped by ripe tannins on the moderately firm, balanced and lingering finale. This is definitely Nuits in character but it's an elegant Nuits. Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 65, 89-91 points

    2015 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Bousselots'
    Usually $195 - Now $175

Here too there is a discreet touch of wood surrounding the super-fresh and ultra-pure aromas of earth, red currant, herbal tea and a whiff of the sauvage. There is outstanding intensity to the detailed and relatively robust medium-bodied flavors that are supported by a firm core of ripe tannins on the impressively persistent and well-balanced finale where a hint of bitter cherry emerges. Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 65, 90-93 points

    2015 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Chaignots'
    Usually $235 - Now $209

The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots, a vineyard that I have a soft spot for, has a very pure, nubile, red cherry, crushed strawberry and cassis-tinged bouquet that is utterly seductive. The palate is beautiful: fine tannins, layers of dark cherry, black plum fruit with an almost confit-like finish that has wonderful definition and superb length. It might not possess the sophistication of Les Saint Georges or the Vaucrains, but the bottom line is that it is absolutely delicious.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 91-93 points

    2015 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Roncieres'
    Usually $195 - Now $175

The expressive nose is compositionally quite similar to that of the Bousselots except that it's just a bit more deeply pitched. The clean, cool and sleek flavors display excellent delineation along with plenty of minerality, all wrapped in a wonderfully persistent and impeccably well-balanced if notably firm finale. This beauty is indisputably built-to-age and is going to need it. Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 65, 91-93 points

    2015 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Perrieres'
    Usually $235 - Now $209

This is more deeply pitched still with its layered combination of plum, dark currant, spice and freshly turned earth. The rich, full-bodied, ripe and quite serious medium weight flavors exhibit an abundance of minerality along with excellent persistence on the firm and mildly austere but not rustic finale. This should amply reward extended keeping and it is going to need at least 7 to 8 years. Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 65, 91-93 points

    2015Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Pruliers'
    Usually $235 - Now $209

Here the expressive nose is also relatively deeply pitched with its interplay of spice and earth nuances that add breadth to the plum, black cherry and soft game and humus hints. There is outstanding volume to the sleek medium-bodied flavors that possess a supple mid-palate thanks to the abundant amount of dry extract though the finish immediately tightens up on the beautifully well-balanced but notably firm finale. This is textbook Pruliers that is not only built-to-age but is going to need at least 8 to 10 years of it. Sweet spot, Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 65, 91-94 points

    2015 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Vaucrains'
    Usually $319 - Now $289

The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains has a sophisticated bouquet, very pure, a mixture of red and black fruit that are beautifully defined. There is disarming purity here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin. There are layers of red berry fruit laced with white pepper and a hint of marmalade, an edgy bitterness towards the finish that lends wonderful tension and the length that is just outstanding. Pick of the bunch for me this year, and a wine that I expect to land at the top of my banded score once in bottle.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 93-95 points

2015 Domaine Robert Chevillon Mixed 6 Pack
    Usually $1,437 - Now $1,230

    Mixed 6 Pack includes:
    1x Nuits-St.-Georges V.V.
    1x Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Bousselots'
    1x Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Roncieres'
    1x Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Perrieres'
    1x Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Vaucrains'
    1x Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les St. Georges'

    2016 Vintage

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges V.V.
    Usually $149 - Now $129

This too is wonderfully fresh with its appealing array of both red and dark currant, earth and soft wood scents. I very much like the sense of vibrancy projected by the solidly intense and well-detailed medium weight flavors that terminate in a notably firmer finish that exhibits a touch of youthful austerity. This is also very good for its level and recommended.
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 69, 89-91 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Bousselots'
    Usually $195 - Now $175

The 2016 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Bousselots has a similar fruit profile to the Chaignots, albeit with a little more horsepower and the fruit a tad darker. The palate is very well balanced with impressive concentration and focus. The acidity is well judged, and there is a gorgeous seam of blood orange and spice that runs through the long, quite intense finish. This has a lot of potential, certainly one of the best Bousselots that I have tasted from this address in recent years.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 91-93 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Chaignots'
    Usually $235 - Now $209

The 2016 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots has wonderful purity on the nose, a serious step up from the village cru this year—bright red cherry and bergamot scents pouring from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, bright red cherry and wild strawberry fruit and impressive tension. This is like a coiled spring. Matured in two year oak, it manages to attain a sensuality that is already very engaging. Very fine.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 90-92 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Roncieres'
    Usually $195 - Now $175

A fresh and quite densely fruited nose combines notes of red and dark cherry, cranberry and plenty of both spice and warm earth wisps. The beautifully intense and chiseled middle weight flavors brim with minerality on the dusty, firm and palate coating finish that also flashes a touch of youthful austerity. This isn't the densest wine in the range but the balance is impeccable. Outstanding.
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 69, 90-93 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Perrieres'
    Usually $235 - Now $209

The 2016 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Perrières has a more floral and mineral-driven bouquet, a bit of light after the broodier Roncier. The palate is medium-bodied with a confit-like entry, quite intense with concentrated with veins of fresh fig discretely interwoven into the red berry fruit. There is sense of compactness here and it is only in the last third that it stretches its arms. This is a lovely Les Perrières from Chevillon.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 92-94 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Pruliers'
    Usually $235 - Now $209

A restrained and discreetly earthy nose features ripe plum and black berry liqueur aromas that are set off by a moderate lashing of wood. The broad-scaled, rich and intense flavors possess a sleek muscularity along with excellent power, all wrapped in a rustic, austere and backward finish. As is usually the case, this is the most obviously Nuits in character among the Chevillon wines and like the Perrières, it demands considerable patience but it's virtually always worth the wait. Outstanding.
Allen Meadows, Burghound Issue 69, 91-94 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Cailles'
    Usually $319 - Now $289

The 2016 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles has a sense of completeness and harmony on the nose that is utterly engaging. This is so pure and focused, a mixture of red and black fruit interlaced by cold stone, almost slate-like scents. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy black fruit, more masculine that the nose suggests with good grip on the almost stern finish. But there is a lot of fruit packed into this Les Cailles, and it will reward those with the wherewithal to cellar for 5 or 6 years.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 92-94 points

    2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Vaucrains'
    Usually $319 - Now $289
There are just nine barrels from 1.5 hectares of vines this year, so make the most of the 2016 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Vaucrains if you can locate a bottle. It has a very intense but classy bouquet with pure red cherry, cranberry and wild strawberry scents infused by cold stone aromas. I adore the delineation of these aromatics. The palate is defined by filigree tannin, pitch perfect acidity, an almost sorbet-like freshness than dovetails into a lightly spiced, fine boned finish that is a pure joy. This may even surpass the 2015.
Neil Martin, Wine Advocate 93-95 points

2016 Domaine Robert Chevillon Mixed 6 Pack
    Usually $1,437 - Now $1,230

    1x Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru 'Les Bousselots'
