"Tasted blind. Meaty, reductive spice-laden nose. While wild and spicy there is a wonderful vibrant violet note underneath – savoury grip on the mid palate and very fine layered grippy tannins. Dense and powerful wine with lots of life."

"Very lively and fresh, a touch balsamic, it leaps out of the glass at this stage. Woody herbs and a char in the background. Medium-bodied, fresh and drinkable style. All very ripe and approachable, with gently serrated, ripe tannins. For early drinking. Lieux-dits Mazard, Champelrose, La Côte and Les Côtes. Whole bunch fermented, matured in barriques and demi-muids from three-year-old to eight-year-old barrels."
