Like every one of the reds from Paolo Conterno, the Langhe Nebbiolo is sourced directly from the steep exposure of the Ginestra hill. The fruit from the younger plantings makes its way into Langhe Nebbiolo for what is always a great precursor to the next Barolo vintage. In this case, there are two parcels on the South-West facing portion of the calcerous clay of Ginestra. I have not yet had the opportunity to taste this wine but have no doubt it will echo the previous vintages which have always spoken of terroir, vintage and maker just as much as the Barolos do
