The Cavallotto family first founded the estate in 1928, it wasn't until the second generation of brothers started to vinify their own grapes in the 40's that the first bottlings of Barolo were crated and brought to market.

In the 60's, the family moved forward once again to label the wines with 'Bricco Boschis' for the first time, proving to be one of the first to show off a single site for their Barolo. 1970 saw the acquisition of Vigna San Giuseppe and in 1989 their significant portion of the Vignolo vineyard was added to the stable. These moves created even more depth to the already excellent suite of wines, further cementing their place as a top producer in the region.

Currently, the winery has been under the guidance of the latest generation of the family. They have excelled at keeping the traditional methods and winemaking at the forefront, while employing enough modernity to comfortably shape the future of the estate. Year after year, the wines shine through and become the benchmark for the region.

This current release is and incredible one, Starting with a vibrant and characterful Langhe, demonstrating why it has been long considered a benchmark of the region. An incredible release of Bricco Boschis that showcases the balance and depth of the 2021 growing season, concluding with the striking and powerful 2019 riservas.

2023 Langhe Nebbiolo

"The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo from Cavallotto is a lovely wine, starting with its aromas of red berry, wild rose, hay and peach pit. Elegant and fresh, the palate offers succulent strawberry, bitter orange, star anise and pink peppercorn before an almost salty finish. Made from the estate's youngest Nebbiolo vines and aged for 15-18 months in Slavonian oak casks, it has lithe tannins and surprisingly fresh acidity for the vintage."
