Cramant in 2016, vinified in stainless steel and disgorged eight years later. The tank vinification keeps the wine precise and unmediated, no oak texture, no added weight, just the Cramant chalk and the character of the vintage. 2016 was a demanding year for Chardonnay across the Cote des Blancs, with late and uneven ripening following a growing season of record rainfall and frost. The wines that came through did so with genuine acidity and definition. Eight years on lees builds complexity through fine, integrated autolysis.
