Long regarded as one of the finest wine growing regions in France, due to its unique geographical profile- high elevation and chalky limestone soils - the wines from Saumur and particularly Brezeare beginning to finally get the recognition they deserve. This is all thanks to producers like Arnaud Lambert, who produce incredibly complex and distinct wines from single sites within the region.
We are excited to offer special prices on three new releases and two back vintages that showcase how well these wines age.

2020 Saumur Blanc St-Cyr-En Bourg 'Les Perriers'
Usually $59 - Special Offer $54
"From vines averaging 60 years old on clayey-sandy silt over limestone. Vinified with indigenous yeast after separating free run juices and matured for 12 months, half in older barriques (3 to 5 year-old) and half in foudres. Shows a very clear expression of fruit with barrel-ferment notes adding complexity to the fresh, long and concentrated finish."

2019 Saumur Blanc 'Clos David' Monopole
Usually $89 - Special Offer $82
"From a 1.3 ha north-east facing site planted in 1965 on light sandy soil over limestone. Vinified with indigenous yeast and vinified 50% in aged foudres and 50% in barrel (15% new) and aged on fine lees. Fine and discrete on the aromas yet a notable step up in complexity and depth. Very long and intense with great precision on the palate, not at all fat or soft this shows lively citric acid giving great length and shape to the palate."
