Domaine Gripa’s wines are all made traditionally and masterfully express their origin. The four cuvées of Saint Joseph and the two cuvées of Saint-Péray undergo their maturation in French oak barrels of different sizes and age to slow down the ferocity of their natural acid and tannic complexity. Two cuvées of Saint-Joseph white and red called “Berceau” are made from the oldest vineyards, in the best climats of the Domaine."

Pair it with roast lamb, beef stew or spicy dishes.You can cellar it for a good ten years or enjoy it in its youth by decanting it for at least 45 minutes before serving. 100% Syrah."

"Dark robe; reduction hovers over the nose, an aroma that digs in on sustained black fruits, Morello cherries, blue fruit, wild berries, licorice. The palate gives a broad roll of black cherry coulis fruit, padded tannins on board, a firm depth inside the upholstery. This has a luxurious outer casing, will be a sweet spot wine. There’s a lot going on in the finish, dusty tannins, herbs, savoury notes."
