Gentle Folk

Shying away from overly complicated winemaking techniques and with a deft touch, Gareth Belton of Gentle Folk Wines crafts energetic wines that speak of vintage and place. This philosophy of simplicity gained him recognition in 2014 as an award finalist for Young Gun of Wine, only a year after his first commercial release in 2013.

The 2022 Adelaide Hills vintage was blessed with a dry, cool and long growing season that enabled immaculate fruit at optimum phenolic ripeness to be harvested. Taking full advantage of this, Gareth has masterfully put together what we think is his best collection of 'Village' wines yet.

2022 Village Riesling
