"Within a short period of time Antoine Foucault is already making some of the most exciting wines in the Loire Valley. The Domaine du Collier was created in 1999 by Antoine (son of Charly Foucault from the famed Clos Rougeard) and his wife Caroline. Having worked at Clos Rougeard for four years and still at the young age of 26 he took the opportunity to buy four-hectares of vines (through his family) in the commune of Brézé in the best lieu-dit of ‘La Ripaille’. The estate comprises 6 hectares with the vast majority of the estate planted to Chenin Blanc (including some 100 year old vines) and just under a hectare of Cabernet Franc."

"When anyone thinks about the southern French region of Roussillon it is probably not about what’s happening in Roussillon today, which is a revolutionary shift toward fresh, mineral dry wines, some of France’s very best.
Rié et Hirofumi Shoji are the exciting new talent in Collioure, the appellation in the Roussillon that shares boundaries with Banyuls but is for dry and not fortified wines...
They are farming two parcels, one planted in 1989 and the other in 1965 - both on the region's granite/schiste soil. The wines are made almost entirely from Grenache Noir though a little Caladoc is used in the Rose. Hand harvesting, whole bunches, spontaneous fermentations, no pumps and no filtration. These are wines that a full of character and when you add the talent of Hiro and Rié the result is elan and finesse; in short, wonderful wines."

Established in 1984, this estate has quickly become a standard of excellence due to the tireless efforts of its founder, Marc Ollivier. In 2011, Rémi Branger took over the reins, followed by Gwénaëlle Croix in 2013. They have upheld the estate’s time-honored techniques, such as aging the wines in vats rather than barrels and refraining from using amphorae, and giving preference to older vines. These wines exhibit timeless qualities, with remarkable texture and tension, making them ideal for prolonged aging.

Stéphane Bernaudeau has really risen to the top over the past few years and his wines have reached cult status as people have realized the quality and those with older bottles have been astounded at the wine's complexity and potential to age.
Located in Martigné-Briand in Anjou, Bernaudeau farms his vines according to biodynamic principles. He produces some of the finest, brightest, taught and energetic expressions of Chenin of the Loire Valley and some of the best wines in all France.
Before fully dedicating his time to his own vines, Stéphane worked with Mark Angeli at La Ferme de la Sansonniere for many years, leaving in 2015. It was from Angeli that he learned how to make fine, artisan wines.."

"When his father died in September of 2008, Louis Benjamin was only 26 years old. While some things have changed since then, much remains the same. The dogs are gone, and the house has a different flair, but the meticulous attention to detail in the vineyards and the precision in the cellar have, if anything, become even more perfectionist under his direction...It is an almost Burgundian style of winemaking, but then, as Louis Benjamin, says, Pouilly is technically a part of Burgundy even though it lies along the Loire."
