Present for centuries in
Champagne, the Vignon family started to produce its
champagnes again in 1946. Today, it is the third generation
in control of Champagne Vignon, led by the energetic
Stephane.
The Vignon family’s vineyards cover 7 hectares, mainly
located on the Grand Cru terroirs of Verzenay and Verzy.
Vignon offers parcel-based champagnes, all in Grand Cru,
mainly Extra-Brut, vintage and with as little intervention
as possible. The Champagnes are mostly worked in barrels,
unusual in that they are mainly sourced from the family’s
own forests. Wines are fermented with natural yeasts,
without fining or filtration and production is under
certification in sustainable viticulture (High Environmental
Value).
The Vignon wines reflect the personality of Stephane -
energetic, driven and with a heavy leaning toward
gastronomy. Indeed, Stephane partners with many great chefs
in presenting his wines to the world – they are present on
some of the great tables of France.
