2019 Chablis

Pale lemon in colour. There is, some reduction to the nose and a little bit of the same grassy style. Excellent tension on the palate, medium bodied, the Duplessis 2019 Chablis sits on the fence between the natural austerity of this wine’s typical character and the riper style of the vintage.

2018 Chablis 1er Cru 'Montmains'

The 2018 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru has an immediate nose featuring white flowers and linseed aromas that are both detailed and focused. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity and plenty of race and vibrancy, although the saline finish requires a little more focus. That might come with bottle age. All in all, a splendid Montmains.

2018 Chablis 1er Cru 'Vaillons'

The 2018 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru is a blend of three climats in Vaillons, each vinified and raised separately and then blended prior to bottling. Citrus and floral notes add brightness to this decidedly taut, vibrant Vaillons. Readers will have to be patient with the 2018. There is plenty to look forward to, though. This is a Chablis with real potential.
