Domaine Servin
The last time we offered these 2019 Domaine Servin Chablis', they sold out in about a day. We have managed to get some more stock, however we suggest youget in quick as we expect theseto fly out the door. There is probablyno better value Premier Cru Chablis out there.
...I often wonder why I don’t hear more buzz about the Servin wines, as they really are terrific

I was so pleased to find Antonio Galloni waxing lyrical about Domaine Servin... This producer seems to fly under the radar of many Chablis aficionados and deserves more credit. Australian-born Marc Cameron is a talented winemaker with an enviable array of parcels under his charge. Moreover, through first-hand experience, I can vouchsafe that they age extremely well...

2019 Chablis 1er Cru 'Forets'
Usually $72- Special Offer $64
Touches of mineral reduction, citrus, rose petal and quinine add breadth to the mostly white orchard fruit aromas. Once again there is a really lovely texture to the refined and pure middle weight flavors that flash good minerality on the clean and dry finish. This needs to develop more depth but that shouldn't be a problem if allowed a few years first.
Outstanding.

2019 Chablis 1er Cru 'Mont de Milieu'
Usually $72- Special Offer $64
A slightly riper, more expressive and subtly exotic nose is composed by notes of both white and yellow orchard fruit, quinine and a discreet application of wood. The lavishly rich and sappy medium-bodied flavors possess solid concentration that buffers the moderately firm acid spine shaping the lingering finish. This is somewhat monolithic at present and will need at least a few years to better harmonize.
Outstanding.

2019 Chablis 1er Cru 'Vaillons'
Usually $72- Special Offer $65
An elegant and quite citrusy nose is comprised by notes of white pepper, quinine, iodine and tidal pool. The impressively concentrated medium-bodied flavors also possess a beguiling texture white retaining plenty of punch on the super-saline and bone-dry finale that offers both excellent depth and persistence. This too is worth your interest.

2019 Chablis 1er Cru 'Vaucopin'
Usually $72- Special Offer $65
A relatively restrained nose timidly reveals a pretty and cool mix of various citrus, iodine, shellfish and white peach. The plump but intense and beautifully stony middle weight flavors possess a more refined texture though much less power and muscle on the graceful, lemony and very dry finale. This lovely effort should drink well after only a year or two of bottle age.

2019 Chablis 1er Cru 'Butteaux'
Usually $75 - Special Offer $67
The 2019 Chablis Butteaux 1er Cru might well possess the finest aromatics among Servin’s Premier Crus this vintage, leaping out of the glass with vivacious lemon zest, Granny Smith apple and crushed stone notes, and then becoming more floral with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a slightly reduced opening that works in its favor. There is wonderful purity to this Butteaux, and although a little oak still needs to be assimilated with bottle age, give it a couple of years and it will be positively singing.

2019 Chablis 1er Cru 'Montee de Tonnerre'
Usually $75 - Special Offer $67
A discreet but perceptible dose of wood can be found on the cool floral, pear confit, tidal pool and iodine-scented nose. The refined, intense and wonderfully sleek medium weight flavors flash a bracing salinity on the classy, balanced and wonderfully persistent finale. This chiseled effort is a relatively powerful MdT and like several wines in the range, possesses a genuinely lovely texture. Recommended.
Sweet Spot, Outstanding.

2019 Chablis Grand Cru 'Bougros'
Usually $135- Special Offer $119
The 2019 Chablis Bougros Grand Cru has a striking nose, one that makes an instant impression with fresh clementine, freshly sliced passion fruit, black currant leaf and a touch of peach skin. The palate is well balanced, with a saline entry, fresh and vibrant, leading to a lightly spiced but persistent finish. I appreciate the way this Bougros fans out. Certainly one of the domaine’s best offerings this vintage. Superb.

2019 Chablis Grand Cru 'Les Clos'
Usually $149- Special Offer $131
The 2019 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru offers well-defined, focused scents of wet limestone, petrichor and green apples and just a very subtle wild mint note. The palate is well balanced with impressive weight on the entry. This Les Clos really fills the mouth with flavor and then eases off in the second half to deliver more saline, spicy notes. It is not a powerful Les Clos, but it is imbued with a steeliness that I admire.
