2018 Vincent Dauvissat Chablis
A ripe and wonderfully fresh nose also flashes plenty of classic Chablis character on the white-fleshed fruit and floral nose where background notes of iodine and oyster shell are present. The sleek, delicious and vibrant medium weight flavors exude evident minerality on the clean, dry and balanced finale where a touch of bitter lemon character slowly emerges. This impressively intense effort is a quality Chablis villages. Outstanding.

2018 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis
Billaud-Simon have some of the best vineyards in Chablis, from generic right up to Grand Cru level. This highly enjoyable, unoaked white uses fruit from five different parcels and is a very well-balanced white that's typical of the earlier picked cuvées in 2018, combining nectarine and citrus flavours with a hint of boiled sweets and supporting acidity.

2018 Domaine Moreau-Naudet Chablis
The 2018 Chablis Village has a very attractive nose that is a cut above its peers, offering well-defined citrus aromas and a little more mineralité. The palate is taut and fresh with a fine bead of acidity, refreshing and sharp, and classic in style, leading to a malic, apple peel finish. This is a well-crafted wine that trades the prettiness of the vintage for something more identifiably Chablis.

2018 Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru 'La Forest'
Like the Montée de Tonnerre this is overtly floral in character on the lightly spiced nose that displays additional aromas of mineral reduction, iodine, lemon peel and pear. There is a really lovely sense of verve suffusing the powerful yet reasonably refined larger-scaled flavors that culminate in an almost chewy finish thanks to the abundance of sappy dry extract. This isn't as refined as the Montée de Tonnerre but it's just as complex and persistent. Sweet Spot, Outstanding.

2018 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis 1er Cru 'Montee de Tonnerre'
The 2018 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru is precise and nuanced, with all of the energy that is such a signature of this site. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and crushed rocks all run through a finely cut Chablis that offers terrific nuance as well as class. This is one of the highlights in the range.

2018 Domaine William Fevre Chablis 1er Cru 'Montee de Tonnerre'
An elegant, pure and relatively airy nose combines plenty of Chablis typicity with notes of white orchard fruit, citrus, algae and iodine wisps. There is very good minerality and delineation to the lacy and refined yet punchy flavors that deliver sneaky good length where the intensity really builds from the mid-palate to the driving finish. Sweet spot, Outstanding.
