Since leaving Australia for France in 1998, Jane Eyre has carved out her place in Burgundy, working under Dominique Lafon, forging alliances with Benjamin Leroux and being crowned negociant of the year in 2020 by influential French wine magazine, La Revue du Vin de France. Now with over 20 years of experience in Burgundy, Jane has hit her stride in making beautiful wines from the region.
Jane's 2020 vintage Beaujolais and Burgundies are a delight and dramatically highlight her ability to craft intense wines of complexity and elegance. However, as a micro-negociant, the production of these wines is minimal and they won't hand around for long. Order yours now to avoid missing out.

2020 Fleurie
Usually $75 - Special Offer $71
Bottled in July having been matured without wood. 100% whole bunch, a mix of 30 and 100 year old vines in Labourons. Lively fresh mid purple. Some cheesy notes but this is a bright fresh gamay. Suggestion of a pyrazine but it is the stalks speaking. Middle weight.

Usually $79 - Special Offer $74
Jane’s traditional cuvée made from 90 year old vines, 60% whole bunch then two to three weeks on skins, raised in 500 litre barrels and bottled in July. Pale pretty purple, this is sensual and startling, really fine, very Fleurie, with just the right touch of acidity. Intense but not dramatically weighty.

2020Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 'Les Corbeaux'
Usually $319 - Special Offer $299
Two barrels made with 50% whole bunch vinification and no new wood, the grapes coming from the upper part of Corbeaux adjacent to Mazis-Chambertin. Very intense purple with a richer bouquet, sweetly sensual rather than the more refined style of some Corbeaux, but with enough acidity behind to keep it on the straight and narrow. Minerals emerge to finish

2020 Corton Grand Cru
Usually $479 - Special Offer $449
The 2020 Corton Grand Cru is a blend of Bressandes, Perrière and Maréchaude with 50% whole bunch. It has a wonderful bouquet, so pretty with sparkling red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit, a touch of orange sorbet. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, taut and fresh, very prices with a mineral-driven finish. I doubt that a former hairdresser has ever made such a delicious and classy Corton. Just three barrels made.
