Cobaw Ridge
"Cobaw Ridge winery was established in 1985 by Alan and Nelly Cooper. Vines were planted on granitic, sandy soil in the cool climate Macedon Ranges, on the cusp of the Great Dividing Range at some 610m. Their positioning, in a natural amphitheater, provides the perfect place to produce terroir-driven wines. 100% estate-grown, they are now fully certified organic and biodynamic, something they are very proud of, and deservedly so."

2019 Lagrein
Offer$99 - Extremely Limited
Made in limited quantities, produced only in the best years. Becoming extremely hard to get, and cult status.
"Sud Tirol (Lagrein) and Macedon Ranges; the alpine variety gets a go in Australia from the most dedicated producer of lagrein in this wide, brown land. The 1998 was the first release and its only let fly in the best years. This is an important wine in the broader Australian fine wine landscape conversation."

Stoney Rise
"Joe’s roots within the Tassie wine landscape run deep, with his parents’ grape-growing history stretching back four decades. This is what planted the seed for Joe’s passion for quality fruit, respecting place and rearing top-notch wines. He does it all with confidence – instinctive and assured - without not taking himself too seriously. “Love the Holyman Chardonnay. One of my top producers in Australia,” says Gary Walsh of The Wine Front on the one hand. And on the other: “I’d argue this comes from one of the best Pinot sites in the country, from one of the best Pinot winemakers.”

2020 Holyman Pinot Noir
Usually $64 - Special Offer $60
"Well well well. A Pinot Noir weighing in at 11.5% alcohol, and yet it’s ripe, though pretty restrained. Kind of like an old-school Chambolle, before things, got pretty hot in that region.
Raspberry, red cherry, pencil and spice oak, a rosy perfume too, along with a subtle earthiness. It’s light in body, yet doesn’t want for flavour, or firm fine shapely emery board tannin, crisp and precise, with earth and perfume, a cranberry freshness on a long and focussed finish. It’s a beautiful wine, discreet and bony, and one that looks like it will really sing with a fair bit of bottle age. Very ‘mineral’ in feel too. Quite different to many local Pinot Noir, but in a good way."
