"Billaud noted that this will also have about 20% wood in the final blend. A restrained, elegant and pure nose displays notes of various floral influences, citrus and mineral reduction. The refined but almost painfully intense medium-bodied flavors exhibit a lovely sense of minerality that adds a sense of lift to the impressively long and well-balanced finale. Lovely. Under the direction of Virginie Moreau, this Domaine’s already stellar reputation has only broadened since the tragic passing of Stéphane Moreau in 2016. It helps of course, when you have friends like Vincent Dauvissat to call on, yet all credit must go to Virginie and her team, who have not had the easiest of rides. Frustratingly, Moreau has been forced to deal with three severely frost-affected harvests in her first quartet of vintages. Despite the early difficulties, the vintage conditions became much more hospitable for Virginie's vines and the wines produced have become some of the most sought after in Chablis. Again quantities available are tiny. Order now to avoid disappointment.

"This really has some gravitas and charisma for a Petit Chablis. The nose is a brew of youthful vivacity, its freshness and elegance tinged with green citrus fruit studded with wet stone and brine. It has thirst-quenching acidity balanced by a sensuous mid-palate, delivering delicious clarity of lip-smacking pithy lemon and green apple flavour. The finish shimmers with crystalline minerality and juicy crunch. Super juice!"
