Domaine de Montille is a renowned vineyard in Burgundy, with a history dating back to 1730. Hubert de Montille started making wines at 17 in 1947 when his father died. Hubert's son Etienne is now at the helm of the domaine with his sister Alix. Under Etienne's leadership, the vineyard's reputation soared, and through careful acquisitions, it now has 37 ha of vineyards. After switching to organics in 1995 and biodynamics in 2005, the wines of Domaine de Montille remain shining examples of both white and red Burgundies.

2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'En Remilly'
Usually $159 - Special Offer $154
"The 2020 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a neutral nose, quite mineral-driven, touches of petrichor. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, a touch of bitter lemon with quite a saline aftertaste. Enjoy this over the next decade."

2020 Meursault 'Saint Christophe'
Usually $239 - Special Offer $229
"A blend of two parcels (Castet and Petit Charron), the 2020 Meursault "St. Christophe" sported quite a bit of reduction on the nose. The palate is well balanced, the 20% new oak neatly integrated, orange cordial and a touch of mango towards the finish."

2020 Meursault 1er Cru 'Porusots'
Usually $289 - Special Offer $274
"Outstanding. A much more floral-suffused nose reflects notes of green fruit, lemon rind and just enough wood to merit pointing out. There is again very fine volume on the sappy, round and seductive yet quite serious, powerful and muscular flavors that exhibit notably better depth and persistence. Very solid quality here."

2020 Beaune 1er Cru 'Les Perrieres'
Usually $179 - Special Offer $172
"Rich fresh ripe purple. Grown on white soil, so was picked early, but as it happens the Perrières underwent a late malolactic and has not yet been sulphured. One third whole bunch, from the very old vines. Definitely a peppery note which is actually welcome given the opulence of the fruit. 13%. Definite structure at the back but better integrated. I really like the perfume that stays behind in the glass."

2020 Beaune 1er Cru 'Greves'
Usually $249 - Special Offer $234
"Outstanding. Moderate reduction blocks an evaluation of the fruit though the whole cluster influence is perceptible. More interesting are the impressively intense flavors that possess both good minerality and cut on the lengthy and balanced finale that displays focused power. Excellent."

2020 Volnay 1er Cru 'Les Taillepieds'

The palate is medium-bodied with quite succulent tannins, more rounder than the other Volnays, plush and quite luxuriant with a sensual and very pure finish. Superb."

2020 Pommard 1er Cru 'Les Rugiens'
Usually $499 - Special Offer $479
"The 2020 Pommard Les Rugiens-Bas 1er Cru has a very strict and linear nose at first, mineral-driven with light undergrowth scents, the 100% whole cluster lending a light pepperiness. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip on the entry, quite firm in the mouth, good volumes with a lot of backbone and sturdiness on the finish. This will require 5-7 years to soften so have a cellar handy."

2020 Corton Grand Cru 'Clos du Roi'
Usually $549 - Special Offer $519
"Sweet Spot. Riper aromas aren't as cool or elegant, but they are more complex with plenty of warm earth and sauvage elements adding interest to the notes of plum, cassis and smoke hints. There is very good volume, power and intensity to the muscular but still refined medium weight plus flavors that exude good minerality on the chalky, balanced and austere finish where a touch of wood surfaces."

2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru 'Aux Thorey'
Usually $279 - Special Offer $269
"Outstanding. A more elegant, cooler and spicier nose reflects notes of the pretty essence of red currant, rose petal and a floral top note. The elegance continues on the palate of the nicely textured and quite punchy flavors that exude evident minerality on the sneaky long and moderately structured finish. As is usually the case, this is a Nuits 1er of refinement and even a certain finesse."

2020 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru 'Malconsorts'
Extremely Limited - $1,099
"The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru is two-thirds whole cluster. It has a well-defined, quite tertiary bouquet, the whole bunch quite expressive at the moment, imparting light black pepper and clove aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Good density here, grippy and quite concentrated towards the finish. Just a touch of black pepper emerges on the aftertaste. Serious and very complex."

2020 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru 'Malconsorts Christiane'
1 Magnum Only - Extremely Limited $3,999
"The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts Cuvée Christiane 1er Cru is 80% whole cluster, very different in aromatic profile to the regular cuvée, more ferrous with hints of red pepper infusing the red and black fruit. The palate is very well-defined and comparing side-by-side, this conveys more energy and tension than the regular cuvée, almost with greater precision towards the finish. Very long and tender, this is a marvellous Vosne-Romanée for long-term ageing."
