Both 1er Cru Meursaults are exceptional wines, the Goutte d'Or, a heady opulent wine enriched with spicy notes, and Les Poruzots, with an abundance of ripe fruit and majestic firm structure."

"From the Lieu-dits of Les Clous Perrons and Les Magnys; vines ageing back to 1951. The grapes are hand harvested and the wine aged on lees in oak barrels (10% new) for 12 months.

Notes of white flowers and a touch of flint on the nose. The elegant and mineral palate could be mistaken for a Meursault."

"From the Lieu-dits of Les Malpoiriersand Les Pellans; vines ageing back to 1935. The grapes are hand harvested and sortedand the wine aged on lees in oak barrels (20% new) for 12 months.

An elegant and fulbodied wine with delicate buttery, brioche notes and saline on the end palate."

"From the Lieu-dits of Les Gouttes d'Or; vines ageing back to 1955. The grapes are hand harvested and sortedand the wine aged on lees in oak barrels (20-25%new) for 12 months and 3 to 6 months in vats.

An elegant wine with a distinctive character. Notes of flint and white flowers."

Producer Notes

"The 2020 Meursault Les Gouttes d'Or 1er Cru, which comes from two parcels planted between 1955 and 2005, like other cuvées, has been filtered. It has an airy, green apple and orange pith scented bouquet that unfolds gently in the glass. Discrete. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, lightly spiced, not as powerful as the Charmes yet precise and quite sustained on the finish. Very fine."

A powerful, complex, oily and mineral wine. Notes of chalk and flint combined with white flowers."

"The 2020 Meursault Le Porusot 1er Cru was tasting from unfiltered and filtered vats. It has a tightly-wound bouquet with touches of grass clippings, earthy scents, dewy meadow filtering through the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced, energetic on the entry, one of the most saline of the Domaine's cuvées with a nice bite on the finish. Very fine."
