"Yields were down 60% for this wine in 2022. Gembrook Hill really are gems.
Very bright, very crisp and very red fruited. Pretty wine of rose hip tea, pomegranate juice, so clear and clean, fine tannins a light web around things with a faint, new leather and fennel character in the mix. Interesting/very good. So very fine boned, almost skeletal pinot noir, refreshing though and energetic in its way. I balked and thought I was drinking Jura’s poulsard at one point, which is a positive too. So frisky and fine. I love it." 94 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
"Two barrels produced, a third of the wine whole bunch fermented from younger vines. Top of the tree stuff from the wonderful Gembrook Hill.
Has that sweet cherry thing going on, some tart cranberry in the mix, a bit of sugared almond, some faint white chocolate elements and light, white peppery notes. Palate and bouquet in synch. Quite lush but lighter weight in the palate, soft, velvety, ultra long and lingering with sweet spices, white pepper and ripe cherry. It’s such a pleasing, luxurious feel here. A sense of ‘modern Australian pinot noir’ came to mind, very primary fruited and open weave, with acidity tempering things rather than tannin. Gorgeous, is the other word." 95 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
