Spanning six generations of dedication, Domaine Christian Moreau boasts an extraordinary array of vineyards across Chablis, most notably substantial portions of the revered Grand Cru climats 'Les Clos' and 'Valmur'. Under the visionary stewardship of Christian Moreau and with his son Fabien at the helm of estate management and winemaking, the domaine has ascended to earn recognition as a preeminent Chablis producer. “The quality here is again so good that I’m tempted to say that Chablis has yet another leading light to add to the usual stars of Raveneau and Dauvissat.” Allen Meadows, Burghound
"Here there is no reductive funk to the pretty and very floral aromas of spice, pear, apple and quinine that are trimmed in more prominent wood. The old vines are very much in evidence on the concentrated, palate coating and rich bigger-bodied flavors that possess focused power on the saline and intensely bitter zest-suffused finish. This should be excellent in time." 90-93 Points - Alan Meadows, Burghound.com
"Just one barrel. A paler lemon colour with green reflections. Much livelier on the nose, quite classy with a good detail here, fresh with medium depth., the finish spins out quite well. Less in white flowers and fruit than usual, a little more in fresh citrus. Drink from 2026-2031. Tasted: June 2022." 91-94 Points - Jasper Morris MW, Indsideburgundy.com
"The one-hectare parcel that constitutes the 2021 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru yielded five barrels this year. This also has a heavy reduction and is quite yeasty at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a marine-influenced entry, flecks of white chocolate complementing the citrus fruit with a longer finish than Blanchot. Fine sour lemon mixed with orange rind on the aftertaste. Excellent." 92-94 Points - Neal Martin, vinous.com
"A healthy yield of 45 hl/ha. A paler colour and a more classic bouquet, all in white fruit, which swells across the palate, delivers class and charm, the acidity is really well integrated. Excellent persistence, this is a fine-boned rendition rather than muscular, and you barely see the wood. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: June 2022." 93-95 Points - Jasper Morris MW, Indsideburgundy.com
