"Founded in 1978 on the prized Kimmeridgian soils around the village of Lignorelles which is northwest of the idiosyncratic village of Chablis, Roland’s two young sons, David and Arnaud, work this 20ha lutte raisonnée Domaine. Ferments are temperature controlled in stainless steel and all but the Petit-Chablis sees a short time in 2 to 8-year-old barriques and demi-muids. Whilst the Vaudésir is a mighty Grand Cru the signature wine of the estate is the lieu-dit ‘Vauprin’ which is one of the most elevated vineyards in Chablis and transposes an extreme mineral puissance."

"This cuvée had the highest degrees of the vintage chez Lavantureux. Fresh pale yellow. Good plums on the nose, very joyous, a wine at ease with itself. An extra degree of succulence and more acidity too, very well handled. Half has been made in barrel but there is no evident wood effect."

"Another wine which started out in wood for 50% of the volume, which may explain the light coconut touch. Great floral points alongside, such energy of fruit, primary yellow notes, clean concentrated citrus zest, long saline finish. Another beautiful wine from this site."
