2020 Rosso di Valtellina DOC

"Made from 100% Nebbiolo from vines over 50 years old that grow at altitudes over 350 metres above sea level and slowly macerated for two months, then left to age short term in old oak to retain freshness and vibrancy. This wine bursts out of the glass with bright red fruit and savoury alpine herb notes. The palate is medium weight but intensely concentrated with silky tannins on the finish. A great example of drink-now Nebbiolo."

"Pettirosso is a blend of fruit from the Sassella, Grumello and Inferno top tier vineyards. In our opinion this is an unmissable cuvee for all Nebbiolo lovers and Arpepe fans alike. There is dusty dry tannin structure from the 4 months it spends on skins. Soft notes of cedar-wood and delicate musk has been imparted from time resting in barrel. Sensational drinking."

2019 Valtellina Superiore 'Sassella Stella Retica' DOCG

The soils here contain greater proportions of pebbles (sassolino) and limestone than those found in Grumello. Theresult is a wonderfully perfumed and fine Nebbiolo from Valtellina. Wild notes of cherry, fresh strawberry, soft herbs and a marked minerality are supported by typically robust Nebbiolo acidity and tannins. Fantastic now but greater pleasure is no doubt in this wine's future after some time in the cellar.
