"A tightly furled nose, with a layer of cinnamon-cedar oak atop. Creamed cashew to nougatine mark the mid-palate. A bit demur, but there is plenty of stuffing here, needing the gift of time to liberate the genie in the bottle. Loads in store for those who wait. Drinkable now, but best from 2026."

"A spicy, mid-weighted pinot, reminiscent in many ways of cooler climate syrah. A complex melody of aromas: mulberry, forestry notes, damson and exotic hints of Chinese medicine cabinet. A really beguiling nose of considerable complexity, reverberating across a densely packed mid-palate. A dusting of pepper and clove across an incisive finish, with further spice lingering."
