Patrick Piuze has an unyielding fascination towards the concept of terroir. He firmly believes that while it's possible to emulate production methods anywhere, the only thing that truly sets wine apart and makes it unique is the sense of place from which it originates. This passion drives him to meticulously craft his collection of Chablis wines to the highest standards. Each reflects the distinctiveness of the terroir from which it is sourced, characterised by its soil, climate, and topography. Piuze's wines not only excel in quality but also preserve the authentic character of their terroir.
Today, we are offering two fantastic Village Chablis wines from Patrick's 2022 vintage. These great wines not only adhere to Patrick's convictions but are also of exceptional value.
In addition to the delicious 2022s below, we also have an extensive collection of Piuze wines from vintages past on special offer pricing. Check out the link below to see our full catalogue.

2022 Chablis 'Terroir de Chablis'
Usually $63 - Special Offer $57
"Outstanding, Top Value. Here there is no reductive funk on the pretty and layered aromas of pear and apple along with clear Chablis typicity, especially iodine. The delicious medium weight flavors possess both good concentration and vibrancy while exuding a subtle bead of minerality that adds a sense of lift to the clean, dry and more complex finale. This offers better than average quality for the genre and is worth a look."

2022 Chablis 'Terroir Decouverte'
Usually $63 - Special Offer $57
"Outstanding, Top Value. There is enough post-bottling reduction present to overshadow the underlying fruit at present so a quite but thorough aeration is suggested if you're going to try a bottle just after release. Otherwise, there is a lovely texture and excellent punch to the delicious and discreetly stony flavors that deliver slightly better depth on the balanced, clean, dry and nicely persistent finale. Worth considering."

2022 Chablis 1er Cru 'Forets'
Usually $139 - Special Offer $132
"The 2022 Chablis Fôrets 1er Cru has a more backward bouquet with touches of greengage and white flowers, later a hint of wild mint. The palate is well balanced with a sapid entry and fine depth and acidity. It is quite strict towards the finish with a saline aftertaste. Good potential, but this will need time."

2022 Chablis 1er Cru 'Les Roncieres'
Usually $139 - Special Offer $132
"Once again firm reduction holds sway over the fruit. On the palate though there is good freshness and verve to the beautifully textured and succulent flavors that also tighten up noticeably on the serious, moderately austere and compact finale. This too could use more depth but a few years of cellaring should address that."

2022 Chablis 1er Cru 'Les Sechets'
Usually $159 - Special Offer $149
"Pure and precise, the 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Séchet mingles aromas of green apple and white flowers with hints of toasted nuts and iodine. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and charming, it's satiny and enveloping, with bright acids and a saline finish. More immediate and demonstrative than usual, it remains one of the highlights of the range."

2022 Chablis 1er Cru 'Montee de Tonnerre'
Usually $179 - Special Offer $169
"Sweet Spot. An even more floral and cooler nose grudgingly reflects notes of mineral reduction, iodine and oyster shell. The ultra-sleek, vibrant and beautifully textured medium weight flavors retain excellent delineation while exhibiting outstanding length on the bone-dry, youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. Like several wines in the range, more depth would be advantageous but this is already exceptionally pretty."

2022 Chablis Grand Cru 'Les Clos'
Usually $279 - Special Offer $259
"Piuze's 2022 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is a powerful, muscular wine, mingling notions of orange and mandarin with toasted nuts, dried white flowers and iodine in an incipiently complex bouquet. Full-bodied, broad and layered, with notable structuring dry extract and a long, resonant finish, it's quintessential Les Clos."

2022 Chablis Grand Cru 'Les Preuses'
Usually $299 - Special Offer $279
"A restrained nose grudgingly offers up a blend of green fruit, citrus, iodine, shellfish and a hint of quinine. There is again fine volume to the beautifully texture and more refined medium-bodied flavors that exude evident minerality on the equally long if not quite as complex finale. Lovely and I very much like the balance that should permit it to age gracefully."
