Jean-Pierre Latour now runs the Domaine Latour-Giraud estate, which spans over 10 hectares, since taking over from his father in 1993. The estate specializes in producing white wines, which make up 85% of its total production. With 2.5 hectares of land dedicated to Meursault Genevrieres, Domaine Latour-Giraud is the largest single holder of this premier cru, considered the epitome of a typical Meursault. They also hold vines in other premier crus, such as Les Perrieres, Les Boucheres, Les Poruzots, and Les Charmes. Jean-Pierre Latour is a winemaker who lets his wines speak for themselves, and the remarkable improvement garnered during his tenure is nothing short of miraculous.

2021 Bourgogne Blanc
Usually $105 - Special Offer $93
"Outstanding, Top Value. A ripe but cool mix features mostly notes of white orchard fruit and citrus. There is a lovely texture to the sleek, detailed and vibrant middleweight flavors that possess unusually good density before terminating in a beautifully long, firm and balanced finale. This is a very serious Bourgogne and possess first-rate quality for its level."

2021 Meursault 'Cuvee Charles Maxime'
Usually $209 - Special Offer $189
"23 barrels including small quantities of declassified 1er Crus Perrières, Bouchères and Porusots which could not be made separately. Full bright yellow with a little green in the background. A touch of bacon fat here, but very soon it is the pure full fat fruit of Meursault which comes to the fore. A fine volume of dense white fruit, it may not go full butter and hazelnuts, but seekers after a properly classical Meursault will get their money’s worth here. Fine fresh long finish with some ripe greengage and a ripe citrus touch."

2021 Meursault 1er Cru 'Les Genevrieres'
Usually $389 - Special Offer $345
"A fine clear lemon yellow. Here the fruit and the oak are absolutely intertwined on the nose. A significant volume of fruit is suggested, as well as undeniable class. There is a heady mix here, but it works really well together there is almost a coating of a waxy velvet, and a very long finish. Ripe apples, maybe some white peaches, and the usual fresh citrus note to keep the finish fresh."

2021 Pommard 'Cuvee Carmen'
Usually $185 - Special Offer $165
"2/3 from Les Vignots and 1/3 from the 1er Refène.Excellent limpid ruby color. Fresh if somber aromas include those of forest floor, red currant, dark cherry and a hint of the sauvage. I very much like the texture of the equally polished and sleek medium-bodied flavors that also flash evident minerality on the tension-filled, youthfully austere and balanced finish that isn't quite as persistent. This should repay up to a decade of keeping yet there is sufficient mid-palate fat to allow it to be enjoyed young too."

2021 Meursault
Usually $209 - Special Offer $189
"Outstanding. Here too a discreet touch of wood can be found on the pretty aromas of mineral reduction, zest and a similar floral top note. There is a bit more volume and richness to the solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors that flash evident minerality on very clean, bone-dry and nicely complex and persistent finale. This is a quality Meursault villages."

2021 Meursault 1er Cru 'Charmes'
Usually $349 - Special Offer $319
"Outstanding. Pear, apple and acacia blossom scents are trimmed in both hints of wood and toasted hazelnut. The wonderfully rich, round and supple flavors possess a highly seductive texture while exhibiting fine length on the more refined if slightly austere finish. This isn't especially dense but the bright citrus-tinged and firm acidity shaping the mouthfeel makes this highly refreshing. This tension-filled effort is also really quite lovely."

2021 Meursault 1er Cru 'Perrieres'
Usually $499 - Special Offer $459
"Sweet Spot, Outstanding. A background hint of matchstick character is present on the cool and restrained nose of green apple, citrus and mineral reduction. The super-sleek and chiseled medium weight flavors brim with both dry extract and minerality before culminating in a highly compact, bone-dry and beautifully long finale. This impeccably well-balanced effort is very tightly coiled and it's what I call a 'buy and forget you own it' wine."

2021 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Chalumeaux'
Usually $355 - Special Offer $325
"Outstanding. There is enough wood to merit pointing out on the smoky aromas of spice, petrol and acacia blossom. Once again there is a lovely texture to the vibrant, rich and nicely detailed medium-bodied flavors that also conclude in a lemony and sneaky long finish that is quite dry but not really austere. This stony effort is a wine of finesse and balance that could use better depth so a few years of keeping should prove beneficial."

2021 Meursault Rouge
Usually $125 - Special Offer $109
"Bright aromas of plum, dark raspberry and newly turned earth introduce super-sleek and polished lighter weight flavors that display excellent precision on the dusty, clean and dry-in-the-best sense finish that offers slightly better persistence."

2021 Blagny 1er Cru 'La Piece Sous le Bois'
Usually $209 - Special Offer $179
"This is also distinctly cool, pure and airy with its expressive nose of essence of red pinot fruit and discreet floral wisps. The gorgeously textured barely middleweight flavors are not dense but they are super-sleek, polished and refined before terminating in a bitter pit fruit-inflected finish that displays sneaky good length. This should drink well both young and with a few years of keeping."
