Since 2014, under the stewardship of Geraldine Godot, this historic estate has consistently delivered exceptional wines, reaching new heights of quality and distinction. Known for their use of 100% whole bunch fermentation, the 2021 vintage presented unique challenges, leading Geraldine to destem the entire crop. The resulting wines are a testament to her dedication and skill as a winemaker, showcasing elegance and a profound commitment to the purity of fruit over sheer power. In the face of adversity, Domaine de l’Arlot has triumphed, crafting wines of remarkable finesse and character.

2021 Cote de Nuits-Villages ‘Clos du Chapeau’
Usually $139 - Special Offer $129
“This monopole is in Comblanchien on the far side of the Route Nationale. In 2021 it produced a surprisingly deeply-coloured wine with a ripe, plummy fruit that opens up on the palate with slightly rustic depth but lovely, sweet fruit. The grapes are partially destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in primarily used casks. This wine is perfect for current drinking.”

2021 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru ‘Cuvée Mont des Oiseaux’
Usually $299 - Special Offer $279
“The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Mont des Oiseaux 1er Cru, which comes from white limestone soils at the top of Clos de l’Arlot, was showing some reduction on the nose. The palate is more readable, fleshy with grainy tannins that frame the slightly peppery red fruit. Cohesive and gentle in terms of grip on the finish, this should drink well for the next decade”

2021 Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru ‘Clos de l’Arlot’
Usually $385 - Special Offer $354
“The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de l’Arlot 1er Cru has an open nose, redcurrant and mulberry, touches of decayed autumn leaves and cigar smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, the fruit darker than Mont des Oiseaux plus there is a little more grip. Dorset plum and a splash of black pepper on the finish. Lovely.”

2021 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru ‘Les Suchots’
Usually $679- Special Offer $639
“The 2021 Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots 1er Cru is quite backward on the nose, maybe just missing a little joie-de-Vivre at them moment, a bit “sulky” compared to other crus from the Domaine. The palate is much more expressive: edgy red berry fruit, a lovely touch of white pepper and thyme, in fact you could imagine there being 10-20% stems when in fact , there are non. Persistent on the finish, this Suchots seems to be intending on biding its time.”

2021 Romanee-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru
Usually $2,399 - Special Offer $2,249
“A glowing brisk crimson colour. The bouquet is where it belongs, at the heart of Vosne-Romanée. Still needs a little teasing out though. Good energy at the front of the palate, a useful thread of acidity, the oak lends a light char, then the fruit returns to sweep through to the finish. The acidity is just right, tannins are refined. Fresh crunchy red berry fruit to finish. Drink from 2029-2036”
