When discussing influential winemakers in Barolo, it's impossible to overlook Luciano Sandrone. Without any inherited vines, Luciano and his wife Mariuccia purchased their first holdings of Cannubi Boschis in 1978. From these humble beginnings, the pair set out to craft age-worthy wines of purity with an approachable nature. Succeeding in this endeavor, he and a handful of his contemporaries elevated Barolo wines to the world stage, gaining them the renown they hold today.
Sadly, Luciano passed away in early 2023, yet his legacy lives on now with his brother, children, and grandchildren, who continue to produce some of the region's greatest wines.
Join us at Bar Rosella on June 3rd for an intimate dinner with Barbara Sandrone, daughter of the late great Luciano.
During the evening, we will sample four exceptional brackets of Piedmont wine, each thoughtfully paired with four courses of Bar Rosella's outstanding Italian cuisine. Undoubtedly, this evening promises to be an extraordinary exploration of Sandrone wines. However, tickets are extremely limited, so secure yours now to avoid disappointment.
