"Sebastien Christophe is a name that I had been hearing for quite some time from some of the growers that I work with whenever the subject of Chablis came up. The Domaine Christophe is only 9 years old and founded with vines inherited by his Grandfather. Despite being such a young estate the quality and exacting nature of his work has meant that his wines are eagerly sought out and quickly sold out despite him being completely unknown by the media. His success has come completely by word of mouth."

2022 Chablis V.V
Usually $67 - Special Offer $59
"The 2022 Chablis ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is a wine produced from 60 year old vines planted by Sebastien Christophe’s grandfather in the commune of Fontenay-près-Chablis. It is absolutely top form again in 2022, it has lovely cut and tang that sets it apart from the AC Chablis and it always has a little more depth and concentration too. This, as always, is superb, concentrated Chablis from Sébastien Christophe that is of 1er Cru intensity and complexity."

2022 Chablis 1er Cru 'Montde Milieu'
Usually $105 - Special Offer $97
"The vines are located in the middle section of Mont de Milieu, which tends to give an opulent style. Pale lemon and lime. An open white fruit bouquet, this is bold and powerful yet with impressive tension behind. The white fruit concentration travels all the way across the palate. A fine fresh mineral acidity at the back, delivers typicity. Very good. A little hint of white peach but well managed. Drink from 2027-2032"

2022 Chablis 1er Cru 'Montee de Tonnerre'
Usually $115 - Special Offer $106
"A slightly fuller yellow colour though still with a green tint. Here the opulence of the fruit is the most evident with a peachy note. A slight honeysuckle note indicates the ripeness of the fruit. Several layers of flavour interweaved here, with some tannins in the structure. This is ripe but well balanced, with a lot more to be revealed later on. Drink from 2027-2033"

2022 Chablis Grand Cru 'Blanchots'
Usually $219 - Special Offer $199
"When Sebastien casually mentioned to me that he had produced a Grand Cru in 2018 my ears pricked right up! As someone who produces Petit Chablis that betters most Chablis and Chablis V.V. that is better than many 1er Cru - it was brilliant news for Sebastien and it's Blanchot, right across the way from his vines in Montée de Tonnerre. The perfect Grand Cru in these days of global warming. Blanchot produces superb, steely wines and it is the top vineyard for some producers (Laroche, Billaud-Simon) It always produces discreet, floral wines that have the capacity to age very well. Banchots refers to the very white colour of the soil, it. Put this wine away for a few more years whilst you enjoy the others."

2022 Chablis Grand Cru 'Le Preuses'
Usually $219 - Special Offer $199
"With amazing mineral intensity, Chablis Grand Cru Preuses displays the Chablis style at its purest; very elegant and sophisticated yet very powerful - it is, with Les Clos, my favourite Chablis terroir. A wine of great aging potential, I am glad Sebastien was able to find a parcel in Preuses, his hard work in the vines and his gifted winemaking combined with this titanic terroir is something I have been hoping he would be able to deliver for some time."
