Pinot Noir finds a home in many different places, whether from the old or new world. Its innate ability to reveal terroir leads to a myriad of unique expressions that truly intrigue and excite. One producer who fully embraces this is Stefano (Steve) Lubiana. From his family's parcel of land, Steve produces three single-block expressions of Pinot Noir, all made in the same manner to accentuate their individual terroir.
While fascinated with the idiosyncracies of the single blocks, Steve is, as many winemakers are, a perfectionist. Steve only produces his premier blended wines, Sasso Pinot Noir and Collina Chardonnay, from vintages that meet his high standards. However, when he produces them, they are exquisite and represent the vineyard's voice at the highest possible quality. It's no surprise that these wines are showered with accolades when released.
Below is the latest release from the Lubaina family. The wines are in very short supply, so order now to avoid disappointment.

2022 Collina Chardonnay
Usually $150 - Special Offer $139
"The 2022 Collina Chardonnay’s nose features lemon, lime, honeyblossom with a backdrop of fresh orchard fruits including white peach, nectarine and nashi pear. There is a slight flinty mineral scent which is homogenously bound with the wine’s smooth texture. The palate mirrors the fruit from the nose and introduces richer tones of lemon curd, mandarin peel and crème brûlée. The mouthfeel has a tight acidity which runs through the mellifluous texture, and the wine’s finish is rounded with full body. Our 2022 Collina is one to enjoy now or it can be cellared for 5 to 10+ years."
Steve & Monique Lubiana
Three Trophy Winner at the International Wine Challenge
o Best Tasmanian Chardonnay
o Best Australian Chardonnay
o Best Australian White
"Light golden colour with extremely attractive notes of spice - nutmeg and cinnamon - on the nose, along with stone fruit flavours. The palate is beautifully balanced and poised with a tremendous finish."

2022 Ruscello Single Block Pinot Noir
Usually $110 - Special Offer $102
"From a parcel near a small creek on silt over porous gravelly clay, anise and cinnamon soar alongside the deep-scented, sweet, ripe fruit. The palate is lithe, with supple acidity, black, red, and blue berry, cherry, currant, plum fruit, and subtle radicchio and mulch hints. Layered and expansive, warm terra-cotta tannins support. Sensual, with the balance and stature to age well."

2022 Il Giardino Single Block Pinot Noir
Usually $110 - Special Offer $102
"Located adjacent to La Roccia, with a more northerly aspect and heavier silty black clay with gravel topsoil over clay and limestone. Emphatically red-fruited, with pomegranate, cranberry, cherry flesh, skin, and stone. Sappy green and inky floral riffs emerge. Sculpting bright acidity defines and animates the fruit. Graphite and chalk spray tannins cleave close, tapering the youthfully inscrutable finish. Great potential."

2022 La Roccia Single Block Pinot Noir
Usually $110 - Special Offer $102
"A shower of fine, mouth-coating, millefeuille tannins, which cloak and enmesh the fruit, lending gravitas. With time and air, it reveals glimpses of a seam of red cherry/cherrystone, blackcurrant, and blueberry fruit, yet to be mined. Chalky, mineral acidity maintains the flow. Classy oak polishes to a fine sheen. Impressive structure from a hillside block on deep red clay marl over clay, with limestone bedrock. Embryonic."

2022 Sasso Pinot Noir
Usually $150 - Special Offer $139
"Lubiana's flagship pinot noir delivers the goods. Great aromatic depth revealing plush wild strawberry, dark cherry and red plum fruits dredged in exotic spice with hints of roasting game, mountain herbs, sous bois, Chinese barbecue and earth. Tight, grainy tannins provide the frame and a seam of minerally acidity the propulsion as the wine flows across the palate, finishing very long and true. A complex wine that delivers beautiful drinking now but will repay careful cellaring handsomely. Serious stuff."
