Alberto Nanclares and Silvia Prieto are dedicated producers of exceptional, transparent wines that showcase the Atlantic influence, primarily crafted from old-vine Albariño in the charming region of Cambados, within Rías Baixas. Their commitment to organic farming and careful winemaking in the cellar results in a remarkable collection of refined, angular, and age-worthy Albariño that beautifully reflect the unique terroirs of the area.
In 1992, Alberto left his job as an economist to pursue his passion for the sea and moved to Rías Baixas. Initially, he had no intention of making wine, but after purchasing a home with a small vineyard, he began tending to the vines. By 1997, he had set up a small winery in his garage and transitioned from conventional farming to organic practices while collaborating with an oenologist. He fully took over the winemaking process in 2007.
Silvia Prieto, a native of Pontevedra and a lab technician, began her journey in the wine industry in 2003 and met Alberto in 2009. After founding her own consulting company focused on organic viticulture, she joined Alberto as a partner in 2015.
Together, their distinct backgrounds create a strong foundation for meticulous collaboration. They continuously refine their craft by exploring new vineyard plots and winemaking techniques, all while adhering to their core philosophy of respecting the grapes.
