This extra brut Champagne from Adrein was first made in 2016. It’s a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir from his village of Verzy. Vine age is an average of 40 years. The terroir here is chalk with clay topsoil. The wine is fermented in neutral oak with native yeasts. It undergoes full malolactic. It spends around 11 months in barrel and 24 months on the lees in bottle. Each year has 20% of a reserve wine added to the blend that is aged in foudre. All their vineyards are certified organic & biodynamic. 1.6 g/l dosage.
