Fragrant aromas of dark cherries, cassis, mulberries and plums are supported by sweet cedar/chocolate oak. There's also plenty of varietal pepper and spice, with an underlying violet-like perfume. Long, very smooth and velvet-like, with a ripe, succulent mouthfeel of berry/plum flavours bordering ever so marginally on the over-cooked. Its length and tight-knit spine of powdery tannins will ensure a strong future. (94 points, drink 2021-2031+) Jeremy Oliver
