"“Rocky, rugged vineyard about a hundred ks north of us”, says Michael Dhillon. The Col Mountain Vineyard is also used by Wild Duck Creek – the 2020 vintage allowed for rose and a table wine to be made. Here’s the second one.
Harmonious, just medium weight red wine with bright, red berry fruitiness, surprisingly gravelly tannin profile and lifting, rosy acidity. Sleek and long, finishes deep and with a flourish of cherry elixir, pleasingly tart and with a few more chomps of minerally tannin. A delight here."

We are becoming very enamoured with the Grenache from Col Mountain. The vibrant raspberry and red cherry aromas are super enticing and the fresh, dense, chewy palate is compelling. In some ways this Grenache is a halfway point between Bindi Pinot fragrance and charm and Pyrette’s Shiraz dark and denser nature. It will benefit from 3+ years cellaring.
