The 2019 Meursault Les Bouchères 1er Cru comes from the middle of the slope, which tends to produce higher levels of natural acidity. It has an attractive licorice-tinged bouquet that blossoms in the glass with fine definition. The concentrated palate offers layers of lightly honeyed fruit counterpoised by the acidity. A touch of grilled walnut surfaces toward the finish, which feels very long. Excellent.
