In contrast to most of the prior wines, this is all but aromatically mute and only aggressive swirling finally liberates white flower and citrus nuances. There is excellent intensity to the powerful if somewhat angular middle weight flavors that culminate in a bone dry, super-saline and chiseled final. This youthfully austere effort is built on a base of almost pungent minerality that is borderline brutal. I like this but it's sufficiently compact and bracing that it won't be for everyone.
