"Grilled white peach on the nose and the first thing I tasted, oddly, was coconut. This wine reminds me of Bakewell tart! There’s a red-berry-jam sweetness and roundness to the fruit, a slick of lemon drizzle, and then this lovely almondy, coconutty baseline with chewy texture. Stunning richness and complexity – really rather magnificent. A real standout in terms of depth and contours, the flavours weaving into each other, building to a kind of crescendo and then fanning out in what feels like endless energy. It finishes with a very subtle chewy bitterness which gives the wine a great twist. Very distinctive – different to most of the other Muscadet-SeMs in this blind tasting."
