"Two barrels produced, a third of the wine whole bunch fermented from younger vines. Top of the tree stuff from the wonderful Gembrook Hill.
Has that sweet cherry thing going on, some tart cranberry in the mix, a bit of sugared almond, some faint white chocolate elements and light, white peppery notes. Palate and bouquet in synch. Quite lush but lighter weight in the palate, soft, velvety, ultra long and lingering with sweet spices, white pepper and ripe cherry. It’s such a pleasing, luxurious feel here. A sense of ‘modern Australian pinot noir’ came to mind, very primary fruited and open weave, with acidity tempering things rather than tannin. Gorgeous, is the other word."
