"More deeply pitched aromas are ripe and fresh with notes of cassis, black cherry, spice, earth and a suggestion of sauvage character. The rich, concentrated and powerful broad-shouldered flavors brim with sappy dry extract as the old vines are in evident on the complex and impressively persistent finish where the only nit is a trace of warmth. Be aware that this is very firm and quite serious and as such, a wine that will need extended cellaring if you wish to enjoy it at or near its peak. Excellent."
