The 2018er Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spätlese offers a rather backward and delicate nose of melon, passion fruit, floral elements, whipped cream, and smoky elements. The wine comes over as suave and beautifully playful on the palate. While ripe, the wine remains complex and extremely subtle right into the long and suave finish.
