Impressively concentrated, powerful and sumptuous, this is a very exaggerated, very ripe cabernet whose rather stewy flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant confiture, figs and dark plums are backed by assertive notes of currants and raisins, plus a powerful underswell of chocolate/cedary oak. ItÆs thick and juicy, simply packed with fruit and coated with an unusually heavy-handed coating of astringent tannins. Unlike the great vintages like 2004 and 1998, you will need to wait for this wine.á(17.2/90, drink 2020-2028) Jeremy Oliver
