"Pipers River. Hand picked from two northeast-facing, high-density blocks, La ClairiƩre and The Enclave, planted to 7700 vines per hectare. There's a wisp of struck flint floating over the ripe wild strawberry, raspberry and dark cherry fruits here. Hints of exotic spice, Chinese barbecue shop, forest floor, rhubarb, pomegranate, pressed rose petals and earth. Gamey and pure with a rosehip note and a gamey trail as the wine slowly fades; tannins chalky and fine, and sour-cherry acidity totally on point."
