"This classically complex Quartz spent 10 months on yeast lees in French barrels, of which 25% were new, and was bottled in late February. The 2023 is a very beautiful Quartz Chardonnay. It is already showing remarkable complexity, with spice, fig, grapefruit, cream and cashew making for an enchanting nose. The palate is vibrant, tight, chalky, full, delicate and harmonious. It rolls on and on, unfurling lovely layers of flavour. These wines begin to drink at their best after five years in bottle and for a decade beyond that."
