"From a single vineyard planted in the late ’90s; native-yeast ferment with 20% whole bunches; matured in French oak (10% new) for 10 months. The whole bunch adds a crackling component here, an autumnal rustle, which is suffused with fruit as the wine is buoyed with air, redcurrant and wild red cherry unfurling. Carraway, rhubarb, clove and a dried orange peel/Campari note add complexity. There’s lovely poise and clarity here, while tannins are pleasingly meaningful. It’s a very nice release."
