"This too is Blewitt Springs grenache, this one from a dry-grown vineyard planted in 1948. The sole focus of Pare Wines is chardonnay and grenache.
I love the dry seriousness of this wine. It’s almost as though it’s been built from the tannin profile upwards. There’s a nuttiness to this wine, an earthen aspect, a run of herb-strewn cherries. It’s a dry, firmly structured wine with a complexity that seems effortless, the latter despite the wine’s general earnestness. It’s a beauty. It’s all set on a long, dusty road of perfectly formed tannin. The price is more than favourable too."
