"Blewitt Springs grenache from a vineyard planted in the 1950s. 50% whole bunch, large format seasoned oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
It’s both delicate and tightly wound. It’s also floral, which is always a good sign with grenache. Red cherries with slips of raspberry, a Campari herb note, an aspect of saltbush and sweet spice and then that burst of purple flowers. There’s some warmth here but it still has a mouthwatering aspect, and it feels finessed. This too is pretty impressive."
