"Fruit from original 1969 plantings. Destemmed, whole berries into 600kg fermenters with some stalks. Matured in French oak, 40% new, for 10 months. This is all about refinement, and in a way, it has a deceptive gentleness, as the flavours are subtle, the oak has meshed into the body of the wine and the silky tannins weave across the palate. Arguably the finest Carrodus pinot to date."
