Nice wine here, aromatic and spicy, with a Campari edge, over cherry and raspberry. It’s quite juicy, gently sappy and tangy, zest of orange peel, good energy, almost a bit of a bouncy rubbery feel to texture (and I’m thinking of silly putty), amaro herbs and sweet and sour cherry flavour. Really nice wine. Adult. And a bit Italianate. Well, the name Chatto does end with the letter ‘o’.
