Hand crafted, organically grown, single site/estate riesling from Grosset.
Polish Hill riesling can be reticent in its youth and this release is certainly in that mould. Mid-palate intensity is excellent, as too is length, but aromatically it’s muted and it just lacks a bit of razzle dazzle. I looked at this wine over an hour or more and came away impressed by unexcited. Patience needed with this release. Can’t argue with the wine’s form as it passes through the mouth nor, as mentioned, with its persistence. Drink 2021-2030+
